Partners
Ready At Five is a coalition of six organizations
dedicated to improving the lives of children.
Together, this unique statewide partnership
promotes school readiness and works to ensure
that all Maryland children enter school ready
to learn. Currently, a Maryland Business Roundtable
for Education representative, J. Michael Riley,
M&T Bank, chairs the partnership. Our partners
include:

Advocates
for Children and Youth. A statewide multi-issue
advocacy organization that provides a strong
and effective voice for Maryland's children
and their families.

American
Academy of Pediatrics, Maryland Chapter. Representing 1,200 pediatricians in Maryland,
this state-based chapter monitors federal
and state legislation and fosters community-based
projects which increase access to health care
and preventive services for children and their
families.

Maryland
Business Roundtable for Education. A business-led
coalition committed to improving student achievement
in Maryland.

Maryland
Committee for Children, Inc. A private, non-profit organization that works
with parents, child care providers, advocates,
employers, and policymakers to expand and
enhance the early childhood education and
child care available to Maryland's children.

Maryland State Government. State departments, agencies, and
offices with strong investments in young children,
including representation from the Maryland
State Department of Education, Department
of Human Resources, Department
of Juvenile Services, Department
of Health and Mental Hygiene, Department
of Management and Budget, Governor's
Office for Children, Governor's Commission on Hispanic Affairs.

United Seniors of Maryland. An umbrella organization that represents a
network of over 775,000 retired residents
and works for the betterment of Maryland's
communities and service systems for all citizens.
