Allegany County

38% of Allegany County’s children demonstrate kindergarten readiness -- within 5 points of the statewide average.

Allegany County administered the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) to all (100%) of its public school kindergarteners. The KRA data enable the County’s teachers to target instruction, provide support and practice where it is needed, address identified learning gaps, and better communicate with family members about their child.
