Anne Arundel County

45% of Anne Arundel County’s children demonstrate kindergarten readiness -- 2 points higher than the statewide average.

The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) data enable the teachers to target instruction, provide support and practice where it is needed, address identified learning gaps, and better communicate with families about their child. Anne Arundel County assessed a sample of its public school kindergarteners (23% per classroom). This means that the critical KRA data is available to teachers only for the individual students assessed.
