Garrett County

63% of Garrett County’s children demonstrate kindergarten readiness -- 20 points higher than the statewide average.

Garrett County administered the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) to all (100%) of its public school kindergarteners. The KRA data enable the County’s teachers to target instruction, provide support and practice where it is needed, address identified learning gaps, and better communicate with family members about their child.
