This session will provide information on how to support a child’s social and emotional development. In-turn, child care professionals will learn how to model and communicate these skills with parents/caregivers to support them as their child’s first and most important teacher.
June 27th - Approaches to Learning describes skills and behaviors that children use to learn, problem solve, and interact with others. We know children are naturally curious! In-turn, childcare professionals will learn how to model and communicate these skills with parents/caregivers to support them as their child’s first and most important teacher.
July 11th - Language and Literacy development describes how young children understand and use language and how they learn about reading and writing. What can we do to support their language and literacy development to build effective communicators and future readers and writers. This session will provide you with information on how to support a child’s language and literacy development. July 25th - Early Cognition & Science, Technology, Engineering, ARTS, and Mathematics (STEAM) describes the knowledge and skills children develop as they explore, reason, and express their understanding of the world. We know children differ in their cognitive skills and behaviors! What can we do to foster early cognition and STEAM in our child care programs?
