Institutes For Early Educators

 

The Institute for Early Educators program offers a unique and ongoing skill- and knowledge-building experience for PreK teachers and early care and education professionals. Institutes are currently offered in STEM and Math Practices, and include professional goal-setting and reflective coaching. Each Institute spans three sessions within the same setting and are offered to a group of early educators over the course of several months. During each Institute session, participants learn new skills and strategies for teaching STEM or foundational math concepts. Institute content is aligned to the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) standards, the Domains of Learning, and to Supporting Every Young Learner: Maryland’s Guide to Early Childhood Pedagogy, Birth to Age 8. Participants may opt to receive coaching support and MSDE Continued Professional Development hours.
